Does anybody know how to do a takedown on an HFC M9? Or any M9 at least for that matter, so I can get an idea of what to do. I need to know how to disassemble the bottom (The part you hold when you shoot not the slide) and reassemble it.

All the farther I've gotten was changing the grips on mine. That is done by taking the screws on the grips out. Right there is where the 1st major problem can occur. On the side without the slide release, once you take off the grips, there will be a spring thing, looks like a wire bent all around back onto itself. DO NOT LOSE THAT SPRING! If it doesn't fly off when you take it apart, remember how that spring went on the gun. WITHOUT THAT SPRING, THE GUN WILL NOT FUNCTION!
That's as far as I ever had to go with mine.

I found this:

Hmm, I need part 37, the trigger spring, because the one on my friend's gun is busted. Can I purchase that spring alone anywhere? I have only seen it with all the other springs for $10, and I don't want to buy all the extras, just the one.

Well, I got the new spring, and I got it put in and re-assembled. Now for some reason, the pin that hits the gas release is loose, and will not go back with the hammer. It will only fire if you point the gun straight up into the air so the pin falls back with the hammer.

Any ideas?
