FPS Calculator

Found this calculator here:

Can use it to convert FPS to Joules and back, as well as possibly estimate FPS with different BB gram?

I put in my snipers FPS (460) with .20g BBs, and I converted it to joules, from which I converted with .28g BBs, and got 389FPS (Sound around right, anybody?). So I am hoping this is accurate and people can use it to convert and estimate FPS with different BB weights.

I know my SCAR shoots at 355 with a .25 gram BB.

So I plugged in other weights and got:
.20 gram BB - 396 FPS/1.46 Joules
.25 gram BB - 354 FPS/1.46 Joules
.28 gram BB - 335 FPS/1.46 Joules
.30 gram BB - 324 FPS/1.46 Joules

It seems right, and since the Joules are consistent it seems the FPS is accurately depicted.

Anyways, like I said..Nice find. It is great for someone without a chrono to see a general FPS. Although different springs obviously will have different results. You just have to keep that in mind and you are good to go.

Well for any of you that have a iphone or ipod touch there's an airsoft app named well, AirsoftApp. It not only has a calculator but you can also record all your gear and guns in it
