Okay, so I have a question. When a person's gun is hit during a game should that person call themselves out, or stay in and switch to a seconary weapon? At a game, my gun was hit and the guy who shot it said, "Did I hit you?" I replied, "You hit my gun." After that, the guy went to full-auto and opened up on me. So, if your gun gets hit, are you out or in?

another debate that's old as the hills.

I think if your gear counts, gun hits count, and you move to your secondary if you have one. If not you need to go back to "resupply(regen)" and get another one.

BUT most game rules are gun hits don't count :(

It all depends on who's hosting the game and the rules they want to run with.

A good example of why gun hits should count (IMO). Someone is holed up in a bunker or building and is sticking his gun or muzzle out an opening and blind firing everything. (another thing I think should not be in any game!) If you pour 1,000 rounds into his AEG he's not out. Stupid! If you pump live rounds into someone's weapon, it's going to cause some damage right? or just knock it out of his hands.

So yeah, I'm not a fan of not counting gun hits. But I'll play by the rules of the game, and more than likely call myself out if my weapon gets hit ;)

EAG, whom I think have the most comprehensive ROE set ever, runs their field with gun hit rules. If your primary is hit, your weapon is considered destroyed for the duration of the round. If you have a secondary you may use it to continue fighting; if you do not, you proceed to staging and wait for the next round to begin.
