Alright so im considering getting a lipoly for my m4 and i was wondering if i need to get a mosfet so that i dont burn through contacts in like three days.

For those of you who use lipoly's, how many of you use mosfets?
For those of you who dont use mosfets, how are your switch assemblies holding up?

I use lipolys in most of my guns, none have mosfets in them. The only thing that has happened to any of mine was shredding teeth off of a few pistons, but my wiring has been fine. I would advise you get antiheat stuff like a Systema switch and selector along with a set of Deans.

I don't even use deans on 2 of the guns, they have the good ole mini Tamiya on them, but still function without any problems.

Well, it seems like the piston is the "Consumable" part in all guns now-a-days.

I've put about 2,000 rounds each through both of my Echos (A 2008 model M-4 CQC, pulling a M130, and the new E-90.) Not a single sign of wear. Though, after I replaced the motor in the 90, the fuse blew.

That could be a sign of a few things, but I'm not too worried about it. Just don't be stupid with your guns. =P

And I am still using my stock Tamiya connectors.
