Greetings Community:

Whenever I started taking an interest in Airsoft, many of the people I have known for years were curious or even suspicious about what I was getting into. Some were accepting while others were almost hostile about my choice of entertainment/sport. One of the approving-types turned me onto Patrolling with Sean Kennedy. ;)

An associate of mine from British Columbia, Canada; someone who actually knows Mr. Kennedy in person; passed along the link, because in one of the shows Sean participates in a rather serious and well-characterized game of hostage-rescue Airsoft. I have now watched every single Patrolling episode listed on the website, and am passing it along to the WP Airsoft Community because I myself am very grateful that the link was shared with me to begin with.

Sean Kennedy is an ex-military survivalist/enthusiast who takes the time in his show to teach civilians like myself things that we typically would not ever get exposed to elsewhere. He covers clothing, gear, weapons, survival, escape techniques, personal development, haircuts, conspiracy theory, and a bunch of other quality stuff.

It's somewhat hard to explain exactly what the show is -- what it is about -- because it is simply so different from anything else I have ever seen before. However, know that I find the information presented in the first season to be of great importance to people like myself; people who are attempting to become more skilled and independent in survival/personal development.

I am not one to make many recommendations, but I would suggest that you all give these shows a once-over. Those of us who have never been in any armed forces or scout program will likely learn a lot of valuable skills and not-so-common knowledge. :rolleyes:

Unfortunately, Mr. Kennedy is rather foul mouthed, and uses some pretty strong language for no good reason. I am somewhat disappointed that he chose to limit his audience by using such language, especially since it seems so unnecessary. Also, while the first season is, in my opinion, excellent, the second is near awful. The show turns from a near paramilitary-training series into a talk show on the paranormal. For this reason, I've only included links to the first season in this post. I am not telling anyone not to watch the second, only forewarning them that they will likely find it a waste of time. (I am told that the upcoming third season will be back to the good stuff).

Summer of 2007

a group of kids came up to us and asked if we wanted to do a beach landing ww2 game, we agreed, only to find out half of the group was from germany and didnt speak a word of english, they mostly had springer pistols and whatnot but they were very confident that they would repel the American forces, needless to say...
