The Talon is known as a durable RIS/supressor modification on real steel M4/M16s. But how did Madbull do with adapting the kit for airsoft?
First off, accuracy to the real steel varient is exellent. Madbull was able to get the license from Gemtech to produce this model to exact measurements to the real thing. Build quality is excellent, and is a very sturdy platform. The RIS has 8 faces, so you can orientate the screw-on rails any way you like. The mock silencer is a nice touch, nd also has all the trademarks exactly where they should be.
This is a full kit, so it comes with an outer barrel as well. Note that the outer barrel and the silencer are custom fitted to each other for this kit, so you cannot swap out either one. It is a free-float RIS, so no delta ring is needed. The top rail lined up perfectly to my metal body. Also, if you have an ICS, this will NOT be adaptable for your AEG. Every other brand should fit.
One of the downsides to this kit is that it will not fit a PEQ box. There is absolutely no place for wires to wiggle between the outer barrel and the RIS. The kit all together is about 9.5' long. About 3' shorter that a standard M4 front, but 3 lbs. heavier, which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.
All together an awesome kit for the price ($135 from ASGI). 9/10
