so i was checking out the weaponblender.com thread, and i wanted to see what they had, and i noticed the new CYMA AKM...with a 74type mag?!

http://www.weaponblender.com/index.php?productID=637
GASP!

The AKM was fitted for 7.62x39mm bullets, and therefore has a more curved mag. The mag shown in that picture, is an AK74-type mag, which is fitted for 5.45x39mm, and some of them (like the AK100 series...well some of the AK100 series...) are fitted for 5.56x45, but not the AKM!

what is this madness?!

any thoughts?

realistically accurate? No

Does it work? Yes

I don't really care if it's accurate or not, just so it works and fires bbs down range on the opposition ;)

i suppose, but what im wondering is; doesn't like, CYMA tell retailers something like "this gun includes this this and this"?
or maybe they did but all the retailers got was that "it includes a CYMA Hicap" er something, but then again i think you should only work at, or manage a website about airsoft if you know a lot about airsoft, and the real steel equivalents you know?
i mean, if your gonna sell the product dont you think you should know at least a little bit about it?

IMO it would be different if they said it was 6mm when in fact it was 8mm or vice-versa.

They are selling a cheap airsoft product not the real deal. I'd be POed if I went to a gun shop and the did it but seriously is it that big of a deal.....

I suppose the same thing could be said for someone putting a mad bull launcher on something since there realy isn't a real world launcher that looks like that.

Me thinks this falls into an Extreme MILSIM category.

I think bankers should know a little about managing money too but you see where that got us.

just havin' fun.

I can see you're point but I dont think a lot of retailers are so commited to guns that they research the little details of the real-steels but I can see what youre getting at.

Well, I have ordered from them several times and I was pleased every single time. They may not carry a lot of the "I am mr.elite airsofter" items like most other places but they still carry some good sh*t. CA, KWA, A&K, decent gear and accessories. A small selection, but still decent. CYMA has good AKs, ARMY has a great L85.

I don't think what this thread is about should keep you or anyone else from ordering from them. IMO.

I have ordered items off of AirsoftGI and Airsoftextreme (just to name a couple of examples) and received the wrong product (due to error in description, labeling, wrong picture.) Or I get an email a couple weeks later, after ordering, stating that the item is out of stock. Something like this is what has made me stop and think about not shopping from them. Though, after the bullsh*t was over I was satisfied, but not worth the process.

Now, before I place an order online anywhere, I always call and make sure what I want is in stock and what I am ordering is exactly what I will be receiving.

Overall: I would order from them any day. Very fast and cheap shipping, small but good selection thas has been growing.

wow. saying you dont want to buy from them because the mag that comes with the gun wouldn't be the mag the real gun would use... wow i could see if it was a rediculously higher pricing but its actually cheaper
look at the same gun on asgi, same mag and all
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_206&products_id=3691
perhaps thats how it is packaged by cyma... i mean they send the guns with the mags and all the accessories that are supposed to come with them to the stores/retailers and all...
